About Me

My name's Stew Wilson. I'm a freelance writer. Mostly, I write roleplaying games and supplements for roleplaying games. A whole bunch of those have been published by White Wolf Game Studios in their World of Darkness line, with more to come. I've also published my own RPG, Æternal Legends, in partnership with Mob United Media and using their Ready 2 Run system.

I also write fiction and factual essays, mostly for people reading on the Internet. Some of these are included in the Samples section. I release most of this work under a Creative Commons Licence. I've dabbled in writing comics, both traditional writer-artist pairings and "open-source" endeavours.

I was born in Hull, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, UK, and spent the first twenty years of my life trying to escape. Along the way I picked up a degree in computer science and mathematics, focusing on cognitive science. I also spent a year administering the computer systems of a large German company, even though I don't speak any German. I live in Edinburgh with my girlfriend, our hamster, and no cats—though hopefully the latter is a temporary state of affairs. I currently live a double life as a mild-mannered systems administrator by day, and a masked writer of fortune by night.
